H4O’s project for Rome

Nonna Futura

Vegetables grown with the H4O method, freshly picked in Rome. Book online and collect them at the greenhouse where they grow.

The Nonna Futura team in the greenhouse on Via Due Ponti in Rome

From the patent to your table

Nonna Futura is the project through which H4O brings its patented organic hydroponic method into everyday life. It’s the same system as our projects with FAO, in Uganda and at Villa Pamphili. Here it serves a simple purpose: genuine, tasty seasonal vegetables to take home.

We grow in a greenhouse in the north of Rome, at Via Due Ponti 175, at the Europlant nursery. When you come to collect, you meet the people who grow: we stand behind what we do.

Why they’re different

Water savings of over 90%

1 kg of salad needs just 9-12 litres of water instead of 350. We use tap water, mostly sunlight and very little electricity.

Freshly picked

You collect them where they grow: from the plant to your hands, with no warehouses and no middlemen.

Organic fertilisers only

No synthetic fertilisers. We only grow what’s in season: if it’s not the time, we don’t have it.

We stand behind it

At collection you’ll find us, the people who grow. Ask us anything about the method.

How it works

1. Fill your basket

Choose your box: S for 2 people (€6) or M for 4 people (€12). You pick the vegetables at the greenhouse, from what’s just been harvested.

2. Pick a day and time

Collection on Thursdays and Saturdays, 9:00 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 18:00.

3. Collect and pay

At Via Due Ponti 175, Rome. Pay at collection, digital payments only.
