H4O is the world’s first patented organic hydroponic growing system. After more than 10 years of rigorous testing of existing soil-free growing systems, we created our own hybrid solution, which combines the strengths of both methods to make growing simpler. We can say it: H4O is the world’s first patented organic hydroponic growing system!
Our NHS (New Hybrid System)module, combined with vertical NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) systems and towers, makes growing simple in an energy-independent system that takes up very little space and delivers water savings of over 90%. Vegetables and other edible plants grow with natural fertilisers only, without synthetic fertilisers.
From the FAO terrace in Rome, created with Sapienza University, to St. Kizito High School in Kampala, Uganda, where our system grows about 650 plants on 115 m² for the meals of 1,200 students. The Uganda project is led by FAO, with the Mountain Partnership and Italian Development Cooperation.
